We're doing well, so far! Thanks to the hard working soloists/duetists who came in for one-on-one work...we are in very good shape so far.

Info about Jon's Show!
From our friends at Triangle Productions (featuring our Music Director, Jon Quesenberry):
As our 25th season opener, we are performing Tick, Tick... BOOM! by Jonathan Larson (creator of Rent).
The show has been getting rave reviews for it's talented cast, great music, and inspiring message.
In his review, Dennis Sparks was moved to say: One final message, having to do with the underlying theme of the show: If you are, or have, a Youth in your home that has a bent for the Arts, do everything in your power to allow them their moment into the sun. Unfortunately, our school system seems to place the Arts at the lower end of the Educational process. Arts, above all, build character, confidence and teamwork in individuals, not only for Artistic leanings but for Life. It is a safe haven for struggling voices to be heard…SO LISTEN!
It made us realize that this is a show that High School students, especially ones with artistic aspirations, should see.
To that end, we would like to extend a discounted $10.00 tickets to your students!
All they need to do is show up at the box office the before the show starts and show their student id, or use the promotional code "TYT" to purchase tickets online at www.trianglepro.org

The Cast (Updated)
Listed below are the men and women I’ve selected as cast
members for this fall’s SouthWest StageWorks production of ‘In The
Heights’. My deepest heartfelt thanks to
everyone who auditioned, and brought to us the talent necessary to pull off
this beautiful show.
If you see your name below, please
be ready to report to your first day of rehearsal this Monday, September 15th. Remember, as part of the audition packet,
you have committed to the role you are selected for in the production; should
you decide that this is unacceptable to you, please think very hard about any
decision to decline the show…don’t make an emotional choice; take time to
consider how exciting this show and opportunity truly is, before you contact
me! I am happy to speak/correspond with individuals if they have questions
about their auditions or casting, but will only do so after this Sunday,
September 14th.
We have a number of opportunities available for those men and women not
cast, including technical/crew positions (please sign up on the Callboard);
‘Breakfast Club’ auditions next week, and a variety of other SouthWest
StageWorks opportunities.
Thank you for making this an exciting and inspiring process, all! I can’t express how excited I am to begin
work on ‘In The Heights’!

It's On!
Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time to throw the combined might of Wilson High School and SouthWest StageWorks behind one of our biggest challenges (and biggest opportunities) to date: In The Heights!
As it's Audition Week, it's time for all of us to do/remember the following:
-Invite everyone to get involved...this is the show, if ever you or anyone around you has considered supporting an (SW)2 production! We have lots of roles, acting or support, for any experience level, for actors/singers/dancers of every possible description!
-Be checking the Callboard outside the Drama Room EVERYDAY for key information, as well as this blog...get used to it!
-Actors: Get your audition forms taken care of and returned as soon as possible, but no later than Wednesday at Movement
-We need actors, singers, dancers...don't shy away if you don't feel strong in any one of those areas. We need a little of everything, and we'll help you with what you need to know ---
---Though, as much as I'd like to, we are not taking all who audition into the show. We do have a limited amount of time to prepare this very difficult show. We're taking a much larger cast than usual, so opportunities abound, but not every interested person has taken their craft to a point where we can use it, in the timeframe allowed...full disclosure
-Anyone not auditioning, and interested in helping organize auditions, please contact me ASAP!
-Oh, and remember: Relax and have fun! (no seriously, I mean it ;-)
